WHAT IS MALWARE AND FINANCIAL MALWARE? Malware is malicious software that can be installed on your PC without your knowledge. Financial Malware is malicious software specifically designed to steal credentials on financial web services and applications. Often called Viruses, Worms, Trojan Horses, and Man-In-The-MiddleCriminals attacks, criminals use this software to take over your PC or Smartphone so that they can view your website activity, steal passwords, and even retrieve keystrokes. If you notice a sudden increase in pop-up advertisements, a change in your settings that you didn’t make, or a decrease in your device’s speed and efficiency, you may have malware installed on your PC. Luckily, malware is easily removed with regular updates to your anti-virus or malware software.
